Do you stay with me while I shop?
You shop independently.
Our service will drop you to the shop and collect you at a mutually agreed time after you’ve finished.
Do you stay with me while I attend my medical appointment?
No, we do not attend the appointment or wait while you attend the appointment.
Our service will drop you to your appointment and collect you at a mutually agreed time after you’ve finished.
What if I don’t know when I’ll be finished?
We will supply you with the contact number of a driver who you can call. They will collect you at the next available time.
Do you pick me up and drop me off from my home?
Yes we do. We offer a door to door service.
What if I live in aged care?
Unfortunately this is not part of our service. Please speak to your individual Aged Care Facilities to discuss with them what, if any services they offer.
Only those living independently are able to access our service.
When does the service run?
Our service operates between 8am and 4pm weekdays only.
After hours services can be arranged on occasion. Please ask, as even if our service cannot help you, we may know someone who can.
Those who are eligible may be able to access the Mackay Taxi service with subsidies, please ask and we can assess your situation and determine if you are eligible.
Can I take my Mobility Aid?
Of course you can. If you need it, we’ll transport it for you.
What if I still hold a valid Drivers’ Licence?
The best thing to do is to contact us. Every situation is different. We assess every case on an individual basis.
